Ok, so you asked for a critique! Here I am! XD
Right so I love how this mermaid is formed! Very watery! The tail is very interesting, it's not the usual fin tail (and I like your version better); adds a certain feel to the picture. O, and all the detail with the scales! I know I would tire in the middle of it! I also like the way the edges of the fins kinda curl downward, to make it like she just pushed herself up in the water. And the hair! I love the way it flows do her back, but sometime the edges are frayed, where the water parts it! It goes along with that feeling I was talking about earlier. You but together this mermaid very well! Also, the hands are webbed, which contributes to that same feeling. I like the detail in the bubbles around her; you really made them look like clusters of bubbles! And the baby mermaid falling down to her, goes with the mood, and is beautifully drawn! Beautiful and depressing! XD So! Overall this was a WONDERFUL piece, very well put together, and has a solid impact on the person looking at it! Your technique was very nice; all the detail! Your originality, there might be pictures of mermaids out there, but I myself have never seen one quite like this! You should be very proud! I do hope you make more art in this style soon!
